I'm Teacher Nuba, a certified TEFL / CELPIP 1 ESL tutor with over 5 years of experience, helping learners of all ages find their voice and confidence in speaking English. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Plant Science and Technology. My academic background may seem unrelated, but it has sharpened my analytical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to break down complex concepts into simple, digestible lessons, skills that translate very well into the classroom. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching kids, teenagers and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, both in class and online. That diversity has made me a more adaptable, empathetic and culturally sensitive educator. My areas of specialisation include Conversational English, Grammar, Pronunciation, Business English, and STAAR Exam Preparation, covering a wide range of needs, whether a student is preparing for a professional meeting, an important exam, or simply wants to communicate more confidently in everyday life. What sets me apart is my teaching philosophy. I believe that no two students learn the same way, which is why I tailor every lesson to suit each student's individual goals, needs, and learning pace. My classes are always student-centred, meaning the students' progress, comfort, and confidence drive everything we do together. I never rush the process; I meet every student exactly where they are and walk with them every step of the way.
